Writesonic for SEO: separate drafting from verification
Evaluate AI-assisted writing by the complete research, drafting and review cycle. More drafts are useful only if the finished articles answer a real reader question with checked evidence.
Divide the work
| Stage | AI may help with | A person checks |
|---|---|---|
| Search intent | Organizing candidate questions | Actual search results and reader needs |
| Outline | Possible headings and missing topics | Order of conclusions and duplication |
| Draft | First drafts and wording alternatives | Primary sources, numbers and specific conditions |
| Update | Flagging potential changes | Official information and publication decisions |
Measure net time, not drafting time
The Japanese guide uses an illustrative example: a four-hour article saves two drafting hours but adds one verification hour, producing one net hour saved. At ten articles a month that would be ten hours, provided revisions do not erase the gain. Test three articles before extrapolating.
Include subscriptions, setup time, checking, corrections and later updates. Do not present generated prose as your own product experience or guarantee a search ranking.
Cost comparison
Use the same currency and scope for both options. Changing the currency label does not convert the amounts. This is a calculation worksheet, not a vendor quotation.
Total = upfront cost + monthly cost × months + other one-time costs. Add taxes, setup work and overages consistently. Values stay in this page's browser storage and are not submitted to a server.
Run a small comparison
- Choose one existing article as the baseline.
- Record the work time with and without AI assistance on comparable tasks.
- Count factual errors, unsupported claims and repeated passages.
- Review impressions and reader actions after publication.
Record the settings, date, limitations and actual results before adding a hands-on claim.
